New Zealand Photography Workshops is a Wanaka-based photography tour operator running multi-day, small-group landscape photography workshops and tours across New Zealand’s South Island for photographers of all levels, from enthusiastic beginners to professionals.
Founded in 2013 by photographer Richard Young, we run four to five-day workshops and seven to eighteen-day tours, usually with four guests per tutor and never more than five. Our tutors are award-winning New Zealand photographers including Craig Potton, Ken Wright and Glen Howey.
We spend extended time at each location rather than long days driving, so you photograph in the best light and can return when conditions change. It is a learning experience, not a guided drive.
